a splendid evening in montana

Here it is! A gorgeous Evening in Montana.
You can read and see more on the Hearth blog post here (including a recipe and a video).
Seriously though.... these pictures are GORGEOUS!!! Kelli Trontel never disappoints.
Some of my favorite pictures were the prep shots. Such good lighting.

My job, the table. My FAVORITE!!!!

The table setting... swoon. So simple, but I love it.

Friends enjoying food.

And dessert... yum.

It was a really splendid evening in Montana.

Don't forget you can purchase a copy of Hearth here, it's a great and gorgeous publication.

winter photo-shoot

I had the amazing opportunity to work with my friend Kelli Trontel on a photo-shoot back in January.
We had to keep the project hush-hush until it was released in a local Montana publication, but now...
Kelli's blog has all the gorgeous photos, so go check it out!!!

Photography: Kelli Trontel
Styling: Carrie Rowe (ME!)
Wardrobe: Melissa Berdimurat | The Village Shop
Hair & Make-Up: Saretta Eash | Souci Souci
Boots: Frye
Model: Leah Eash
Here's some behind the scenes....
The day was freezing, but so fun!
It was quite hilarious to see 3 city girls CAUTIOUSLY stepping onto a frozen lake.
I love how living in Montana stretches me in ways I would never have imagined.
Leah is beautiful inside AND out, it was so fun working with her!
You may remember Leah from her Parisian Baby Shower.
I can't even handle how BEAUTIFUL it was!!!
Bald eagle (the little black dot) on a frozen lake... nbd.

Pictures at a barn.
That's a wrap!
Seriously, go check out Kelli's blog and see all the AMAZING pictures!!!

summer stripes

I. Have. Issues.
In the midst of the BUSIEST month of my year (hence the lack of posts),
leading up to the BIGGEST event of my year....
I couldn't resist!
The rules were simple...
"Submit 3 of your best photos of the design to us by email by July 1st
along with details of your tablescape"

So I did it!
The contest is over and the winners have been announced (spoiler alert... I didn't win),
so I can finally share my table with YOU!
My tablescape along with others have been featured over at Pizzazzerie.
Here is my description along with some pictures.
The 1st 3 pictures are the one I submitted....

After thinking of a million ideas, I created a table that would be FABULOUS for a
 Girl’s Night In.
It’s simple, chic, beautiful and full of stripy details.
I decided to combined 2 things I love, stripes (obviously) and details.
I LOVE stripes of all varieties and I LOVE details and
believe the little details are what make good parties fantastic.
Since summer is here I decided to use my picnic table outside.
I put a simple white tablecloth as my base and
then I used a variety of ribbon to make stripes on the tablecloth.
My FAVORITE ribbon is the one with thick black and white stripes.
There are striped details at each place setting, which include a striped straw inside a hand painted mustache cup, striped tape on the charger holding a name tag,
striped pasta (which was DELISH by the way) and cheese striped salad.
Other striped details on the table are the stripes on the bread, striped tape on the water pitcher, stripes on the Polaroid camera and stripes on the salt and pepper shakers.
I LOVE my table setting and I was sad when I had to take it apart.
Old coffee pot turned vase and a tea cup now holds a succulent.
Behind the scenes....
Nice shoes.
A HUGE thanks to Elisha Guido for helping and taking FANTASTIC photos!!!
